The trailhead is very easy to find from I90. We started early around (8am) as I find that trails in this area get very congested later in the day. It was a very pretty and sunny day with just a slight chill. It was my daughter's very first hike and this hike had been recommended to me as a great first. I had hiked this several years ago and I agreed. The trail was well maintained. The only issue I saw was the stairs that lead to the bottom of the waterfall was closed down due to some trees had fallen and there was some repair needed. My daughter had a fabulous time looking for fairies, climbing on rocks and helping me identify plants. She loved looking from the top of the bridge and dropping a leaf to see if she could see where it went. We ended the hike by building dams by the river and practicing skipping rocks. Note to parents bring extra clothes and a towel. You'll be glad you did! The parking lot was extremely full and parking was about a mile down the road when we came down around 10am. Very glad we went early! Super great hike for kids!
