Trip Report
Crawford State Park - Gardner Cave — Tuesday, Jun. 26, 2012
Eastern Washington > Selkirk Range
Thought I would report on a trail not in the database!!! This trail might be called "hike to the border or 49th parallel" - I can't remember. It starts at Gardner Cave in Crawford State Park and travels north for about 1/2 mile to the border with Canada. That is it. Just so you can say you hiked to Canada!. Trail is narrow, mostly flat and goes through a lodgepole pine forest. At the end is a sign facing the US. see photo.
This report really is a plug for Crawford State Park and Gardner Cave - a wonderful resource and a part of a great State Park System. The ranger, Julie, loves her job and showing off the cave and all it's features. When I was there, the terraced pools were full to the brim with water. Beautiful.
