Lookout Mountain Lookout - Methow — Monday, Jul. 2, 2012

North Cascades > Methow/Sawtooth

Did a evening hike with my son to Lookout Mountain near Twisp. This is a short hike to a lookout with an excellent view. The trail goes through open mostly pine forest. It was in great condition. No problems at all. No snow any more. The lookout is in disrepair. The balcony was accessible, and didn't collapse under our weight. The view of the Methow valley and the peaks of the Chelan-Sawtooth Wilderness was excellent. We saw some people camping near the lookout. It looked like a fantastic spot.
