Rampart Ridge - Rampart Lakes — Saturday, Aug. 4, 2012

Snoqualmie Region > Snoqualmie Pass

We started this hike very early to beat the heat. The trail to Rachael lake was its usual rooty and rockyness.Then a good trail up to Rampart Lakes but after that, nothing but goat trails up to Rampart Ridge. But man, was it ever worth it. The bigger Rampart Lake was still mostly frozen yet. Rampart Ridge should be re-named Rampart Cliff. And what a vertigo inducing cliff it is. Good 360 views from the Cliff/Ridge. Not too many snow patches left except for the last bit going from Rampart Lakes up to the ridge/cliff top. Lots of Mozzies to go around for everyone. Take yer bug repellent !
