I was looking for a trip report on Bare Mt but the last one listed was in 2005. so I decided to hike it and find out what shape the trail was in. Have not been able to do this hike for a few years due to road and bridge washouts. The trail is in good shape and looks like some work has recently been done. Some downed trees have been cut and there is evidence of recent brushing. It was a nice day but views were severely limited due to smoke from the fires that are still burning in eastern washington. The trail is very rocky in places and still needs some brushing further up. The river crossing was easy as water flow was minimal. Fall colors are out.
