Day hike
With about 3 inches of snow on most of the trail, bare under trees, the four of us left the trailhead for about a 40 minute hike up to the Lookout on Dec. 7, 2012. Some of the trees lost their load of snow on us a few times, but all in all a very pleasant and warm hike up hill. The last 25 yards were exposed and had a bit more snow and even required a bit of route finding before reaching the base of the lookout.
