What a fantastic trail. This was more of a walk through the forest than a "hike" I would say. The forest was so quite and peaceful. The sun was peaking through the canopy of trees. The trail was in great condition. There are a couple of creeks that run over the trail but nothing that a little one, two hop couldn't stop you, oh yeah and a couple of fallen trees. We hiked a little over 4 miles into the forest. We were scoping out the trail for a future overnight spot. We had to stop and ask some people on the way back how much further the junction was ahead? We ended up turning back before we made it there though. We did find a nice spot along the river right at the 4 mile marker where some one had made a little fire pit before. It was a great spot and then we marched back. This hike is very uncrowded so you feel like you are out in the middle of the forest. There were some nice little ponds and brooks as well.
Mushrooms
A friend we met on the trail.
