One of my favs, trail has snow about .5 from camp, very easily traveled. Tons of day hikers and climbers alike share this amazing trail. We arrived at camp early and got the only snowfree spot #2, group site is half melted out, but all other sites were under snow will be another week or two i would guess. Saw 2 marmots, had a great dinner and drinks in the meadow. Chatted with couple (m&m) new to our lovely state and told them about some of my other fav trails in the park. Also shared info about this site and the resources on hikes. Woke up around 4:30 to get some pink in my pictures always worth it for the sunrise. Good times with great friend.
BTW I'm doing hike-a-thon this year if you would like to sponsor me here's my link. Thank you so much! http://www.gifttool.com/athon/MyFundraisingPage?ID=1468&AID=2449&PID=368764
