We went up the pass and down the other side to Fisher Camp. We camped there one night and got back today - Sunday 7/28. Although the trail description says it's about 3.5 miles to the pass from the trail head, our GPS found it to be almost 4.5 miles.
The trail is a little overgrown at places - not too bad though. We counted 19 fallen trees on the trail - some were easy to go over / under, but some were a little more tricky. Otherwise the trail is in good condition.
Lots of bugs all the way right now - you can hardly stay at the pass to enjoy the views! However, Fisher Camp had much less bugs. We were the only one camping there - we had the whole campsite just to ourselves!
