Snoqualmie Region > Snoqualmie Pass

I have to start by saying the Katwalk didn't live up to its description on the WTA site. No need for the timid to turn around before the "shelf". I walked around a couple changing their baby's diaper on the Katwalk - yes, there is that much room! I then kept walking for approx 1-1.5 more miles looking for the scary Katwalk only to realize I passed through a while back. That being said, the whole hike is fantastic! The first miles through the forest are very pretty; the views of Mt Rainier and the Cascades are remarkable; and the Kendall Gardens are blossoming right now. If you continue past the Katwalk, you'll come to 3 pretty lakes (Gravel, Ridge, and ??) in 1-1.5 miles (guessing on the mileage). There are 3 small, quickly melting, snow patches up here.
