Mount Rainier Area > NW - Carbon River/Mowich

The trail is in good shape, but it is a rooty, rocky trail so wear the right boots. The trip up took us 1:15 without pushing it and the return was only 1:05. The trail got VERY busy on the way down which surprised me since you have to drive 16.5 miles on washboard gravel to get to the trailhead. There were LOTS of mosquitoes and some pretty adamant chipmunks at the lookout so watch you packs.
