Trip Report

Blanca Lake — Monday, Sep. 2, 2013

Central Cascades > Stevens Pass - West
Volunteers haul a six man rock. A side note, the rock nets need better stitching. We ripped the stitches out of one of the handles hauling that rock. The second time I've seen this happen.
There was a WTA BCRT @ Blanca Lake over Labor Day weekend. This the sixth consecutive BCRT i have attended on this trail! Misquito, fly count is almost zero. Yellow Jackets and Bald Face hornets are in season. If allergic bring your EPI Pen! Note there is a Yellow Jacket nest in a stump behind the "Henry M Jackson Wilderness" sign just above Virgin Lake. Beware of wandering toward it to view Glacier Peak.
Group shot.
Completed turn pike
Parting shot before hiking out. Sure makes it difficult to leave.
