Lake Ingalls — Sunday, Oct. 13, 2013

Snoqualmie Region > Salmon La Sac/Teanaway
Just before the pass - to get a feeling of the snow conditions
This is such a spectacular fall hike! Definitely recommend it. The trail to Ingalls pass had compacted snow on it (which turned slushy later in the day) which does not need any special equipment except (if you so choose) hiking poles. From the pass to the lake, the trail has a little more snow on it, though this too was pretty well worn, and manageable without any poles or other equipment. The larches are in full color right now. It took us between 6-7 leisurely hours to complete a hike to the pass, lake, down into the valley of the larches, and back. We encountered a ton of people up here, so don't expect solitude if you come here on a sunny weekend :) For more pictures and running commentary on the hike, please see: http://antoniorohit.blogspot.com/2013/10/ingalls-lake.html
Golden Larches - the motivation
