Trip Report
Federation Forest State Park — Sunday, Mar. 16, 2014

Federation Forest State Park is closed for the winter, but still offers pleasant walks along its network of short, flat trails.
The park is located 15 miles east of Enumclaw on the south side of HY 410. We had no problem parking on the shoulder just past the entrance gate. Signs behind the Catherine Montgomery Interpretive Center point the way to several trails. It was easy to follow the short nature loops but we had a little more trouble with the longer trail along the White River. The trail was in decent condition—we just weren’t sure if we’d come to the end point when we reached the picnic ground or if there was a way to continue further or loop back.
This is definitely a park I’d return to, especially with a family group.
