Great hike! With so much snow melt going on many sections of the trail up to Sawyer creek were covered by creeks. One kilometer before Sawyer creek the snow starts getting deeper around 2-3 feet. Snow wall at the end of Sawyer creek bridge with water flowing underneath making pushing forward chancy but I plowed on for another kilometer until I was buried in the snow up to my hip and turned back to hunt down an acceptable campsite. Many newly fallen trees and brambles of branches made segments of the trail a bit dangerous. Only two other day hikers on the trail the first day.
