Flowers still a couple weeks from best viewing. Just wanted to add - at the top forested part you will see a trail heading to the north (left). This trail runs parallel to, and above, the main trail. After about 5 minutes walk, there's a trail leading downhill to the treeline into an open spot with fantastic views and no other hikers (main trail is visible).
