Boulder Garden Loop, Little Si — Sunday, May. 25, 2014

Snoqualmie Region > North Bend Area
a large boulder along Boulder Garden Loop
Hiked Little Si catching the Boulder Garden Loop on the way up. Total combined mileage is a little over 6, and a bit under 2000 vertical. Less than a dozen cars in the main lot at quarter to 8 - both lots overflowing by the time we got back down at quarter to 11. Don't forget your Discovery Pass. I recommend doing the Boulder Garden Loop counter clock wise starting at the first Y off to the right - going up is a bit easier that way and the views are better. Don't miss the dozens of huge boulders that have come off Si and several large shear cliffs. One final point of interest is the 'cut' at the very top - it shields all other sound out and is completely silent - really cool. Little Si was amazingly uncrowded for Memorial Day weekend - had the top to ourselves. Mr. Raven was happily >grok, groking< and flying big circles just east of the summit. One extra kudo here as well - only two of the dozens of groups with dogs had them off leash - very much appreciated.
