We stumbled upon this unmarked trail and decided to give it a go. The trail to get to the top is full of very loose rocks and has an elevation climb most of the way. It took us about 3 hours to get to the top and 2 hours to get down. Besides the loose rocks, we also went over snow, streams, mud and some big rock boulders. I would suggest using a hiking pole to keep yourself steady on the uneven parts. The view at the top is very pretty as you can see the water and look over the other mountains. There was some cloud cover so we were unable to see Rainier. We only passed a handful of other hikers and most seemed to be in fairly reasonable shape. Would definitely do this hike again.
