Made it out on a Friday morning to make my way up to the lake. We arrived to a pretty busy lot for a Friday, but it was a beautiful day so I don't blame them for wanting to enjoy it too! The hike begins walking through a stream of alder, looks like it must have been cut some 30-40 year ago. Once to the split for the waterfall you make your way out of the logged area and into old growth forest for the ascent up to the lake. The views were gorgeous as we traversed up to the lake, a couple ravens cawed loudly making it all the much more enjoyable. After fighting our way up we arrived at the lake to a huge group of military guys and a few others who'd made it up before us. Sat by the lake and soaked in the sun before battling our way back down. Great steep hike and pretty sights to be seen. No snow and a perfect trail :)
