Mount Rainier Area > NE - Sunrise/White River

Bluebird day for a hike! Trail in great shape - still snowfields to cross - I'd estimate about 20% coverage. A couple of the snowfields were steep traverses where a silp would be VERY unfortunate (see the photo - snowfield just prior to skyscraper pass in the center, far right of the frame is a good example) - inexperienced hikers will appreciate a hiking pole here. The last 10 feet to the summit is a short, rocky scramble. No marmots in sight but we were visited by a curious chipmunk. Flowers have yet to bloom in any profusion but are starting to show.
