Snoqualmie Region > Snoqualmie Pass

So, I hiked this today. The views are amazing, the flowers the bomb, but I am confused why it is only a Three in the hiking book. I hiked Annette Lake last week and Pratt Lake a couple before that. They seemed like a breeze compared to this. Not sure if it was the heat...83 and sunny, or the fact that I hiked up with a 22 year old...I am 44, but I thought the hike was hard. Actually, I thought it was the hardest hike I have done and I have been doing lots. I hike in Chaco sandals, and they were so not good on this terrain......Dirt and rocks straight up. Fell on my butt twice coming down...but that could be because my tread is in need of love! Amazing and breathtaking views, for sure! The lake was beautiful, but getting there a bit tricky in Chacos...finally gave in and put on some shoes.....I was kinda shocked by how much snow was down there.....The whole thing kinda bruised my ego! HA! :)
