Gold Creek Pond — Monday, Jul. 7, 2014

Snoqualmie Region > Snoqualmie Pass
The pond/lake itself--high reflective and deep blue
I couldn't believe the bang-for-the-buck this trail gave when I first found it a year or so ago. A super easy paved path all the way around the pond/lake with amazing views of the pond and surrounding mountain ranges all around. My wife has taken it with her walker before. But accessible features or not, it's a great little jaunt for anyone! And it's just off I-90... Oh, and turn left at the first junction as that's the loop around the pond and the left goes to the picnic area and immediate views and access to the pond. You'll return back to this point if you go all the way around. Also, if in Spring/Fall and the temperature is low, the path to the right (east shaded side) can have some pretty slick frost on it.
Did I mention there was a non-stop blanket of flowers around the pond?
As in covering all the sunny area from the forest to the shore?
This is from the back middle little jut that goes out into the pond a ways--part of it is unpaved
