We arrived at the trail head around 11 am. Hannegan Road is well marked on the left and is between mile markers 46 and 47 on Mt. Baker Hwy. The trail doesn't have an abundance of shade so be prepared if hiking on a warm day like we did, I went through over 2 liters of water. The trail starts out pretty easy and steadily gets steeper, the last mile to the top being the most challenging. Some of the trail in the last half mile was covered in snow, but it was easy to cross and it was clear where the trail was. As usual we had a great hike, the views at the top were spectacular. My only complaint was the bugs on the way down, the last couple of miles they were definitely out in force.
