Skyline Trail Loop — Wednesday, Jul. 30, 2014

Mount Rainier Area > SW - Longmire/Paradise

The past week has been so gorgeous so we packed ourselves up and headed to Mount Rainier. As usual there is still road maintenance going on along the way so don't be surprised if there is road delay once you enter the park. There is also work being done on some of the trails at Paradise so we followed Dead Horse Creek trail until it met up with the Skyline loop. So many flowers are beginning to bloom also, I'm guessing in two weeks there will be a phenomenal sight up on the mountain. There are some patches of snow to cross once you are higher up but they are marked and clearly people have wore a path through so it's easy going, we both had tennis shoes on and had no problems. We stuck around for sunset and were rewarded by having the company of a few marmots and seeing a spectacular view.
