North Cascades > Mount Baker Area

We backpacked up to the lookout to camp. I've never been up and was told there were "spots" to pop up our tent. We found only one which was fine since there were no other campers. The fire lookout was already taken by a couple who had arrived earlier in the day but we were still able to explore the inside, it's really cool in there, articles and pics on the walls tell a bit of the history. The trail up was beautiful! Tons of flowers in bloom, bees and butterflies everywhere. At the top you feel like you're on top of the world, for someone like myself anyway. Great views of all the surrounding peaks and 3 lakes. Friendly people, beautiful sunset and sunrise.
