Trip Report

Twin Falls — Saturday, Sep. 6, 2014

Snoqualmie Region > North Bend Area
We decided to set out to Twin Falls, and check out the 'new' route. We wanted a little longer hike, so we parked at Change Creek, and hiked Change Creek trail up to the train bridge. This does add a bit to the hike, but I HIGHLY recommend it. My children (4 boys, ages 6 - 12) loved this part of the hike, and we saw nobody else on this short add-on. Until we reached the Iron Horse trail, of course. From here on, as expected, there were many people. The hike was good, the views at each end were great. If I would not have lost my favorite Ray-Bans, that would have been nice, but at least someone else has a nice pair of freakin' awesome glasses! When we were done, we took a quick side-trip into Ollalie State Park, to check out weeks falls. Quite frankly, I think we all liked Weeks better than Twin. But the hike into Twin is way better. Also, I am including a photo of the spot where the trail breaks off of Iron Horse, and heads down to the falls. Hard to miss, but sometimes I know I am having to much fun to look for a sign.
