Snoqualmie Region > Snoqualmie Pass
A friend chose this hike and I didn't really know what to expect. I supposed to full upper lot and busy lower lot should have been an indication, but it was packed on a beautiful Saturday afternoon! There were several groups that didn't abide by the "less than 12" rule, and the trail isn't wide enough for two to pass each other comfortably. Add a dog to this, and it made for a lot of waiting. We got to the lot at 2pm and while we met A LOT of people of people coming down the trail, there were fewer coming up with us. For our descent we only saw a handful of other people. I found this hike more strenuous than I was prepared for. The path was constantly uphill, with no periods of leveling out and not too many places along the trail to get out of the way for a breather. That said, it was quite pretty and easy to get to the trailhead. I definitely wouldn't recommend this hike on a weekend if you think the point of hiking is to feel alone with nature.
