Decided to hike to Fremont lookout before the Sunrise road is shut down for the year. It was a beautiful hike. Pretty windy but nothing unbearable. There weren't too many people along the trail either, though we went in the late afternoon. I've done this trail twice now and both times I was so excited to reach the lookout tower and see the views. Mount Rainier is ahead and to your left the entire hike, offering views no matter where you are along the trail. We could see all the way to the Olympics which were looking pretty snow bare and we were lucky to catch far off clouds that left the valleys farther un-viewable that made for a 'lonely' type of feeling. We reach the lookout tower just as sunset was beginning to show and we enjoyed the view with one other hiker before heading back in the dark.
