Trail is in great shape, parking lot was quite crowded around 11.30am. (But the trail was not crowded - we saw may be 10 people in total). It was a clear day and we got a good view at the top. Quite an elevation.
Description says "In just a few hundred feet, head south on the second trail into the forest, 0.3 miles from the trailhead, marked by a small rock cairn. This is the start of the Mount Washington Trail." This part was easy to miss. We overshoot the entrance into the forest by 50 meters and realized we may be off. Had to come back and take the sharp turn into the forest. There was no marking.
Later.. "The trail eases, exiting the dense cover of forest as it approaches a small marsh and turns sharply east toward another unmarked trail junction." An alternate trail actually continues alongside the marsh - don't take it (don't know where it leads to). You just need to take a sharp left at the marsh (for the benefit people who do not happen to have a compass).
