Trip Report
Wallace Falls State Park — Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2015

Headed out towards Wallace Falls today and upon arrived found 6 cars in the parking lot. Much better than going on the weekend. Although I was a little nervous about going under power lines at the very beginning of the hike it didn't discourage me from pressing forward. I ascended on the Woody Trail and enjoyed every moment. Walking next to the water was calming and gave me a good sense of direction. There are a decent amount of sign until you reach Middle Falls. I had a couple of group ask me how close to Upper Falls they were as I was descending from that location. Upper Falls doesn't disappoint and after making it up the steep hills the cascading water is beautiful and in flowing in full force. While descending I took the Old Railway Trail - 1 additional mile to the trail head. The scenery is nice and kind of on the boring side but the nice level trail was a treat and would be great for people wanting to ascend without too much jerking on their knees. It was a very fun hike and I'm so glad I went to the tippy top!
