Olympic Peninsula > Olympia

This was my first time to Mima Mounds. A really great day for the hike, which started about 1:30 in the afternoon when we went to a picnic bench and had lunch. Camas and other flowers were out but it looked like the end of the season would be soon. The hike itself is very mellow with no elevation gain and good wondering amount the mounds. A fair number of people out enjoying the sun and clouds. A nice start to the hiking season after foot surgery. We covered about 4 miles doing both the long and short loops.
