Trip Report

North Fork Skykomish River, Pass Creek — Saturday, Jun. 13, 2015

Central Cascades > Stevens Pass - West
Meadow trail
There are three trail-heads with hundreds of beautiful trip opportunities stemming from one parking area for this hike, if you can manage to make it up the road past the crazed hoards of the parking challenged spilling over from the Blanca Lake trail-head a few miles prior that is. We followed 1051 up to the fork to Pass Creek - the trail was in excellent condition and well marked the entire way. There were signs (very 'fresh' signs...) of recent horse traffic and we saw one other couple, but other than that we shared the trail with only frogs, birds, and a few mosquitoes. Both fjords were easily passable using convenient fallen logs for bridges. Beautiful planked walks exist across marshy areas as well as over a fantastic meadow where wild flowers and lily pads were blooming on this early June walk.
