Summerland - Panhandle Gap — Saturday, Jun. 27, 2015

Mount Rainier Area > NE - Sunrise/White River

What a great day to hit one of my favorite trails... As always, the trail is in impeccable shape. Compared to many rocky, rooty, or steep trails, this one is graded like a freeway (and often feels like it with the throngs). Saturday was different though - light crowds, especially above Summerland. The hike itself was a bit hot from the bridge up to Summerland, but then some cloud cover came in and it was quite pleasant. We took the "fun route" down from PH gap as well, as I indoctrinated another friend into the glissade experience. Flowers are almost at their peak - go now!!
