Middle Fork Snoqualmie River — Saturday, Aug. 8, 2015

Snoqualmie Region > North Bend Area
Middle Fork Snoqualmie River - 3 miles from trailhead
The road is only open from noon Friday to noon Monday. The last few miles of the road are now paved, and the rest of the road is well graded - somewhat rough, but mostly level and mostly pot hole free. It is much better than it used to be. This is a beautiful trail, with parts going through old growth forest. The trail is mostly level with only minimal elevation gain as it follows the river. The trail is in good condition, but has a 30+ inch downed tree at about 2.5 miles, and a badly collapsed bridge at about 3 miles (see photos). They are easy to hike around, but stock would have difficulty. Otherwise, the trail is in quite good condition. The trail goes down to the river at about three miles - just after the collapsed bridge. We only hiked a bit further, but from there the trail gets a rougher with a steep ravine to cross which would also be difficult for stock.
Large tree across trail at 2.5 miles from trailhead
Collapsed bridge at 3 miles just before river access
