Just a quick hike out to Lord Hill this afternoon to squeeze in some last minute Hike-A-Thon miles. I hiked the Main Trail out to the Temple Pond Loop and back to the Main Trail with a trip to the viewpoint off of the Pipeline Connector trail. All together I estimate that this is about a 4.5 mile out-and-back hike. It was a quiet hike-I only saw a few other people out at the park today. The trails at Lord Hill appear to be in good shape despite the rain and wind we received yesterday. I observed several broken trees that had already been cut and moved off of the trail. Thank you to the people or organization that cleared the trails! There were a couple of spots along the Temple Pond Loop that had larger trees still down but I was able to get around them pretty easily. All in all just a quiet day for a quick afternoon hike.
