Thank You!
First of all a huge thank you for the big effort to reroof the lookout. 400 hours of volunteer time for a tiny roof. Now that's a tough project. Probably the hardest reroofing project on the planet. The lookouts in WA state are a very cool legacy and I'm glad that there are people like you who put in the time and effort to keep them alive.
Your blog is outstanding. Well written and great photos.

Thank you!
Your blog describes the incredible effort required to maintain and repair this lookout. Amazing! We were able to spend the night in the lookout prior to the first work party in August. Met Arthur and others when we descended. We spent another night at Goat Flats and the next morning witnessed the helicopter drop. Quite spectacular. Wondered how this was accomplished since it's a wilderness area. Your blog describes all the regulatory hoops jumped through just to make this happen. This plus all the pre-trip planning and organizing, and then the actual physical work. Wow. Thanks! Jay

It has been a couple of years now since the completion of this project, but THANK YOU for all of the work that you put into preserving this lookout! I have been dreaming of making a trip up to it for years now, and I hope to make the trek soon. Fabulous blog, photos. Hats off to all of you! =)
