First one on trail since new snow fall! :D
Snowshoes required. Trail covered by a over a foot of snow. I could barely make out where the trail was suppose to be. There are now tracks to follow! Until the next snowfall that is. The log crossing over the river was... Interesting in snow, but a lot of fun.

Snow Lake trail
I hiked to Snow Lake today. There were a lot of people on the trail. The snow on the trail was compressed. Snow shoes are not necessary as long as you stay on the trail. Traction devices, such as Yaktrax, Micro spikes are good idea.

jrhseattle on Gem Lake
Nope, you shouldn't need any snow shoes to get to snow lake. The path through the snow is pretty worn in.
