At the start of the trailhead from the parking lot, follow the Red Town Trail up a hill for about 0.2 mile. After that you see a sign for Coal Creek Falls and follow that path uphill for about 1.0 mile. Then you will see another sign for Coal Creek Falls to your left for about 0.3 miles downhill and you will see the fall.
