I was able to get to the usual trailhead but I suspect this is the last weekend it will be accessible if the predicted snow levels materialize this coming week.
I hiked up the old road in a heavy rain snow mix, which transitioned to wet snow at the 3300' road crossing. somewhere around 4000' feet the snow became much deeper. The trail is snow covered the entire way, but this is a very easy route to find given that you're ascending a ridge the entire way.
The final summit push was made a bit more dangerous by relatively low snow cover--I was punching through snow bridges in the boulder field even after strapping on snow shoes.
Alas, there were no views to be had, but I had the mountain all to myself until I encountered two guys on the descent.
