A little muddy, but not too sloppy. The trail is well groomed and is very nice for horses, but watch out for horse shit. The first possible right takes you to a picnic table with a great view to Tahoma. The climb to the top takes you to a picnic table and a place to tie up horses. This view is good, but the first is just as good, though it wouldn't be much of a hike to stop there. Took me about an hour to hike up and down.
