Great day for a walk in the woods! The road had snow the last mile to the trail head but well traveled posing no real issues. 10 vehicles at the trail head making parking a little precarious due to the snow pack. Trail had a few down trees to cross but no big deal, and lots of snow! because the trail is so well traveled no snow shoes needed. Stopped at my favorite lunch spot for the most excellent views overlooking this wonderful lake. Cools down rel quick after you stop hiking so layer and enjoy!
