We Started our hike about 830am, There was only one other vehicle at the trailhead. 2 of the 4 of us had full packs for conditioning(mine at 30lbs my boyfriends at 45lbs). We started our GPS at the trailhead. The hike starts out with switchbacks that are at a good incline. There are a few downed trees crossing the path they were only a problem for me because of my pack. Otherwise they wouldnt have been a problem. There was water on the path but it was crossable. By the time we crested up to the big rock(is this "it"? there is another trailhead piece a bit down the path before the rock. someone want to help me out?) our GPS was at 4.69 miles. We hung out a bit, had some eggs made in our JetBoil Flash. It was awesome. We got back down to the trailhead about 1230pm. This puts the actual mileage at about 9.38 miles. On a side note Lake of Angels trailhead is not yet accessible due to snow and a Boulder.
