Great snowshoe today. We got to the Nisqually entrance around 8:50 am. We had to wait at the Longmire parking lot until about 9:15 am when they opened the gate. They were requiring all front wheel drive cars to put on chains. Luckily, we were in a four wheel drive and got to drove through the checkpoint.
The snowshoe route we took left the parking lot from Paradise and went downhill from there. We were the first on the trail so we got to break trail on some beautiful, pristine, powdery snow.
We went to the falls and then turned around and went uphill back Paradise. Next time, I'll park at Narada Falls so its downhill on the way back. Totally worth it though. It was so beautiful!
