We needed a hike close to some errands we needed to run, so this hike fit the bill. The weather was pretty crappy (heavy rain and wind). The parking lot is fairly large and there were very little cars in the lot when we arrived around 11, most likely due to the weather. The trail was extremely muddy and wet which made for looking down and watching steps for some of the hike. We enjoyed taking random side trails to see where they would end up. Overall, we hiked about 5 miles. It was a nice, quiet hike and there were nice signs that spring is under way! Lots of mushrooms as well.
