Took my nephew on his third hike. I think he's got the bug. Lake 22 is a great hike anytime. Today we started out on the trailhead with a slight rain which made for lots of water on the trail. We are geared for it so we stayed warm and dry the whole hike. It being a Friday we pretty much had the whole trail to ourselves. Plenty of parking. The few other hikers we met were all enjoying the cooler day. No sun at all but we did see a few tiny patches of blue sky toward the end of the day.
I made some coffee at the lake and we pretty much lingered there for a couple of hours just enjoying nature. As I mentioned in my last report the trail is in great shape and easy to navigate. The waterfalls along the way and at the lake are truly beautiful and I always enjoy the sound of them.
Enjoy!
