Fantastic lake to hike to. I don't know why so many people who love the enchantments (like me) complain about this hike. Caught some nice fish out of the lake. Trail was overgrown in quite a few places. I recommend wearing lightweight cargo hiking pants and a breathable long sleeve shirt. Waterproof boots a must - mud and water on trail intermittently. A huge washout on one of the creeks washed out some of the lower part of the trail, but it has been rerouted. Be prepared for bugs - they are biting a little bit at the lake. FYI: the ticks are out. I ended up with one on me.
