This is a beautiful hike! We will definitely hike this one again. The trailhead is easy to get to for all vehicles. You're only on the forest road for about a mile with only a few potholes to navigate around. We arrived at the trail around 10 am on a Tuesday and there were 5 other cars there. We didn't see many people while hiking though. The majority of this hike is shaded with some brief times in open sun. It was perfect on this warm day. 2 miles in you'll find the Anderson point campsites. We ran into a couple coming from the campsites and they said there are about 5 established sites with bear vaults. 4 miles in brings you to the maple grove campsites. These also had bear vaults and a toilet nearby. Beautiful views of baker lake and mount baker from these campsites. We will be back for an over night trip for sure!
