Trip Report

Bandera Mountain — Friday, Jun. 17, 2016

Snoqualmie Region > North Bend Area
Mason Lake and Mt. Defiance
Got up at 4am today in order to get a hike in before work. On the trail a little after 5am, back in the car and commuting to the office just after 8am. I had the trail and summit all to myself - didn't see any other hikers until I was almost back to my car. The trail was in peak condition - no snow, the boulder field was very stable, flowers are blooming in the meadows. The views were great of the dawn light was perfect, the temperature couldn't have been better for hiking, and the sky was cloud free. The road has just a few potholes, but any car can make it. Amazingly, the parking lot was already almost full when I left, early on a weekday morning.
