What a great trip! As my other trip reports... Here's the quick and dirty. 1. Bring your strongest bug spray. Drink it, put it on you, do what you have to because those blood sucking demons are out in force right now lol. 2. If you want to fish, bring bobbers and power bait. I tried spinners and didn't even get a bite. 3. It's really rocky, wear stiff soled boots. 4. The road up there is super washboarded. Just be careful and don't fly off the road on accident! 5. The best camp spot (in my opinion) is the farthest around the lake. Behind the fishing bench. Pretty rad. 6. Pay attention to the trail directions. I didn't, and although it's absolutely not difficult if you pay attention to the trail guide above... I could have gone down the wrong trial easily like an idiot. 7. If you're at all worried about motorcycles, I wouldn't be (at least mid week) we saw one group and they were respectful. Hope this helps! Have a great time! Hiked with Bernie and Cheri!
