Lewis River Falls — Monday, Jun. 27, 2016

Southwest Washington > Lewis River Region
Lunch break swim at Upper Falls (pc Hannah Kwasman)
You can park right at the beautiful Lower Falls (limited day access parking), but I had some trouble figuring out which trail was the correct one to continue on to Middle and Upper Falls (not many signs). I ended up driving a bit further up the road (about a mile and a half) and pulled off at the Middle Falls trailhead/parking area (gravel area with decent parking). Its about 1/4 mile to Middle Falls, with a couple switchbacks down to the river itself. There's a bridge that is "out of order" down the trail, which looked cool but I don't quite know where it went. Back on the main trail, it's about a further mile and half to the Upper Falls. If you decide to go swimming be careful of the current! Did a little over 4 miles total, which was perfect for my old dog and my mom.
